Spring Break in Memphis

Last week I had an awesome adventure in Memphis, Tennessee with some friends from school. My friend lives just outside of Memphis, so we stayed at her house. We had delicious food like barbecue, Venezuelan food, and burgers at the Hard Rock Cafe. We enjoyed the beautiful weather (the temperature averaged at 65 degrees all week!), going for walks in the park, going to the zoo, and driving around with the top down in her convertible. We went to the mall, laughed a lot, and had a great time. I'm feeling so refreshed and relaxed! This break was well-timed.

And of course, I took plenty of pictures. I'm hoping to get some of them prepared and ready to sell at CaileysArt in the next few weeks, so get ready for some new arrivals in the shop!

Of course, some of my iPhone pictures are less than great, but I'm feeling quite inspired. Here are my favorite shots:

A blurry shot of Beale Street ( which I feel is actually quite appropriate, considering the liveliness and atmosphere of Beale Street on a Friday night)

The lovely Mississippi River

A red panda at the Memphis Zoo

A moment's interaction between two cheetahs in the Memphis Zoo

And last, but certainly not least,

A blurry shot of my favorite sight in the world: the Cincinnati skyline from I-75 in Covington, Kentucky. I get chills every time I come around that bend and see the city. And it's especially good at night!

My Spring Break was a great week of relaxation. I'm feeling good and ready to get back to my normal life. And I also have ideas for some drawings... Hmm...

Do you have any fun Spring Break stories or plans? Tell me about it!
