Throwback Thursday: My Dream Home

Today I want to share a picture that I have vivid memories of coloring as a small child:

This was my dream living room around age six of seven. 

As you may or may not be able to tell, I've got a red couch and a yellow armchair, the usual coffee tables and wall art, and a window with the sun shining in. 

But the three most important parts of this room are 

• the "open meadow" rug (on which I'd play with my toy horses),
• the flying unicorn blankets on the couch and armchair, and 
• the puppy. 

I was obsessed with horses, and flying unicorns were (and still are), for obvious reasons, even better. Because of my equine obsession, I of course needed a place to play with my toy horses. And finally, what little girl doesn't want a puppy?

I remember feeling very daring because I thought my mom would fully expect me to put a horse in my dream living room, but I put a puppy instead. But of course, my horses would be in the stable out back!
