Jellyfish Series

The Jellyfish Print Series, also called "Dream Sequence", is a series of five images telling about a dream I had one night.

It starts in a grassy area with a very dark and deep pool of water and a sundial nearby. Slowly, jellyfish come floating up out of the pool.

The jellyfish start floating towards a staircase and doorway that randomly appear (because that's how dreams work).

The door slowly swings open, revealing a big space-like expanse.

The Jellyfish start going through the open door into the space-place.

And then they're just bobbing around in space, surrounding by giant pulsing star-explosion-things.

Okay so maybe my dream didn't go exactly like that, but that's the gist of it. Anyway, I illustrated it using pastels, colored pencils, sharpie markers, ink, and watercolors on 8"x10" drawing paper. It was a lot of work, but I'm really happy with the series. I guess a psychologist could look at this and say something like my subconscious longs to escape from a world of time and schedules into a lifestyle/state of mind/whatever that is more fulfilling, peaceful, and exciting. Or something. But honestly, I just think it's a fun little set.

And besides the awesomeness, you should like it because I'm selling sets of the five prints for $45, which is a huge discount when my individual 8"x10" prints are $15. That's five for the price of three. You can't really beat that deal! (Yes, I am shamelessly promoting this one. I'll try not to be so pushy on my next post, I just really like this series).

Regardless of the awesome deal that is "Jellyfish Print Series"/"Dream Sequence", what was the coolest dream you've had, or what do you think my dream means???
